Berry reflects on Idols SA victory

The Capetonian sealed her place as the winner of the singing contest on Sunday, after an impressive run in the finals.

Perhaps, Idols SA fans can agree that the songstress’ crowning fate was notched in the penultimate episode, when she perfectly executed Ungowami, a Zulu single by Msaki who, by the way, was the guest judge.

Reflecting on the win, which came with a R1 million cash prize, among other perks, Trytsman told Cape Talk she feels honoured by the love she’s received.

I promised myself that I would enter one last time and in the meantime since the last time I entered life happened – marriage, children, even got divorced, got married again, more children. I kind of just thought if I don’t do it now I’ll never do it.

I took the chance and I’m so glad that I did,” she said.
