On Monday, renowned microblogger Yusuf Abramjee shared video footage of the shocking incident that took place outside the popular Joburg pub this past weekend.
Details on this are still a bit sketchy but from what we’ve gathered, it seems likely that the man who rammed his car into News Cafe’s doors was a scorned ex taking extreme measures to attract the attention of his former girlfriend, who it’s said, wanted nothing to do with him.
It is still unclear if the woman survived the incident unscathed, but we can confirm that the man was immediately placed under arrest for damaging property.
News Cafe shared a tweet on Friday, detailing the events that took place at its trendy Joburg establishment.

At this time, his identity remains unknown, pending his first court appearance which was scheduled for Monday. From this tweet, published by the Rosebank Management District, it is possible that the man will face further lawsuits from other complainants whose cars were damaged by his callous actions.
