Nhanhla Lux went on a riff about politicians in the latest episode of MacG‘s podcast and one of the targets he went after was Duduzane Zuma.

What did Nhlanhla Lux say about Duduzane Zuma?

The community commander renowned for his undying passion of the safety and prosperity of Soweto took the hot seat on South Africa’s most controversial media platform to engage with his cult followers on the fast ascension of his political career.

Turns out, not only does Nhlanhla not consider himself a politician, he doesn’t particularly share a liking for many of South Africa’s struggle icons, including former president Nelson Mandela who, he claims, was a superstar to the world not to this people.

“[Nelson] Mandela did great for the world, he did great for the continent but he is like a superstar that everyone appreciates except for people at home,” he told MacG.

Perhaps, wearing army fatigue and parading outside Maponya Mall at the height of the Jacob Zuma riots was enough to qualify Nhlanhla to form make such startling claims?

While this wild comment left a bitter taste in the mouths of many, Nhlanhla’s statements about Duduzane, the son of former president Jacob Zuma, are what drew ire from social media.

The social activist scoffed at comparisons made between him and Duduzane, claiming he felt “very undermined”.
