Ayepyep has a lot to answer for after a recent job poster, advertising positions for ‘bottle girls’ and hostesses, included startling requirements.
Ayepyep hostess hunt dealt a blow
The premium nightclub’s Menlyn branch is on the hunt for female employees. In a poster that has since gone viral, Ayepyep made it clear that the events venue is looking for women who are:
- 22 years and above;
- have an Instagram following of at least 2 500;
- small-to-medium sized;
- well put together;
- outspoken and friendly; and
- able to work and walk in heels.
‼️‼️‼️Attention Ladies‼️‼️‼️

The part that sent social media into outrage was where Ayepyep categorically stated that they are not looking to hire women who are above the ‘medium’ weight class.
Moreover, the night club urged candidates to submit a number of images for consideration, making it clear that “pictures must be clear with no filter.”
Of course, this level of profiling was not received well by many. At the time this article was published, the night club had not issued a response to the backlash.

People who are not "small to medium" face discrimination everywhere. Even in a taxi. For Ayepyep and the whole club culture to change, the world has to change.

We need to see big girls on Miss SA, Miss Universe, TV, covers of magazines, lingerie ads etc. https://t.co/pN9trcomYr
I don't think the outrage is really for plus size women But how unrealistic their requirements are. Even if you go to ayepyep, you will find Madibuseng who probably only has FB. The person they looking for, will not want to work for them. The matter is Are you your type's, TYPE.
