A voice note is doing the rounds on social media, where a girl only known as Asemahle details how underage girls are allegedly lured into prostitution in exchange for cash transfers and clothing.

Before the voice note leaked on social media, video footage showing three skimpily-dressed girls, possibly younger than 18, parading their barely-clothed bodies in front of an unidentified man sparked outrage.

This video was correlated with Asemahle’s story, which sent shockwaves across social media. In the nine-minute voice note, which is mostly in Xhosa, the young girl is interrogated by her mother and a woman who identified herself as a nurse.

Struggling to hold back her emotions, Asemahle, aged 15, admitted to having consensual sex with two adult foreign nationals identified as ‘Latino’ and ‘Blessings’.

According to the teen, she was allegedly recruited by a friend known only as Vanessa to ‘hang out’ with a man believed to be of Nigerian descent at a hotel in Parklands.

The 15-year-old claims she was instructed to watch Vanessa engaged in sex with ‘Latino’ before she was roped into the steamy encounter.

Thereafter, Asemahle claims Vanessa was paid R1 500, and while she allegedly did participate in sexual acts with the Nigerian national, the teen claims she was never sent money.

Instead, the friend apparently only bought her clothes.

Asemahle goes on to name ‘Blessings’ as the other foreign national she had sexual relations with, at times unprotected.
