Thimna Shooto is the talk of social media after the Love Island SA winner announced the end of her relationship with fellow victor Libhongolethu ‘Libho’ Gheza.

Shockwaves were felt across the internet in South Africa when Shooto and Gheza released a statement, respectively, confirming the end of their one-year relationship.
“Thimna and I have decided to break up. It’s been an amazing journey and I find comfort in that we gave it a full go and held nothing back. I’ve learned so much about relationships and myself. I will cherish our time together forever,” Gheza wrote.
Shooto, on the other hand, corroborated the announcement and reflected on the past year which, in her own words, “was beautiful and I wouldn’t change a thing about it.”
Shooto and Gheza were crowned winners of the reality TV dating show and walked away with a whopping R1 million, and newfound fame as one of the hottest couple’s in South Africa.
However, with the good also came a new lifestyle riddled with intense public scrutiny. Whether the pressures of the public eye played a role in their breakup remains unknown.

Shooto shot to fame in South Africa after she appeared as a contestant on the first season of Love Island SA, a match-making TV show that groups singles on a villa for a month of dating, romance, and in the end, relationships.
She started out as a potential pair of fellow fitness enthusiast Durang Atembe, before moving on to test a spark with Xavier Haupt on the fifth day of the reality show.
That did not pan out and, in the end, Shooto and Gheza found their way back to each other.
Shooto is, by profession, a fitness influencer and founder of Workouts by THimna. She was born in 1996, and is originally from Mossel Bay, Western Cape.
