Leeroy Sidambe is the subject of gossip on social media after he was linked to a romantic acquaintance with popular influencer and content creator, Mihlali Ndamase.

Here’s what we know about Leeroy Sidambe

Sidambe is a Damelin alumni with a strong background in the private security industry. While not much information is available on the man, we were able to confirm a number of details, including:

  • he was an active ANC member during Jacob Zuma‘s reign;
  • he obtained a Security Risk Management certificate in 2004;
  • he obtained a Diploma in Security Management in the same year; and
  • he reportedly scored a tender to provide project management and security at the 2010 FIFA World Cup.

Sidambe leads a relatively quiet lifestyle, by all accounts. He currently serves as chairman and CEO of Sakhile Ezweni Group — named after his late mother Sakhile Mabona — which owns a string of businesses, including bakeries, a private security firm, cleaning services, a logistics company, and others.

Leeroy is married to his long-time partner Mary-Jane Sidambe, a senior internal corporate communications specialist at the Gauteng Department of Economic Development.

From the information we sourced, Mary-Jane is reportedly a University of Johannesburg post-graduate with a specialty in strategic comms.

The couple, which shares at least one child, it’s believed, has lived a relatively quite life, outside of the trends of social media, until now. A renowned celebrity microblogger sent shockwaves across social media when, in a series of tweets, he alleged that Sidambe has been in an extra-marital affair with Ndamase.

His claims were accompanied by circumstantial proof. For instance, Ndamase and Sidambe were both at Shauwn Mkhize’s thanksgiving event, the influencer was seen wearing the same outfit Sidambe allegedly gifted his wife, and perhaps, the most incriminating piece of evidence was video footage showing a man resembling Sidambe in an argument with Ndamase at a nightclub.

Neither Ndamase nor Sidambe has addressed the rumours and, at this time, their alleged affair has been left to speculation.
