A disturbing incident unfolded during a Bebe Rexha concert in New York City on Sunday night, as a fervent fan was taken into custody for allegedly throwing a cellphone at the renowned singer.

As reported by Page Six, Nicolas Malvagna, a 27-year-old individual from Manalapan, NJ, has been charged with assault in relation to the incident that occurred at The Rooftop at Pier 17.
Distressing footage captured by attendees depicted the cellphone being launched from the crowd and striking the face of the 33-year-old artist, whose real name is Bleta Rexha.
In response to the incident, Rexha momentarily turned away from the audience and fell to her knees, visibly in pain. Her crew members swiftly rushed to her aid on stage, causing an abrupt halt to the show.

Following the unfortunate occurrence, Bebe Rexha received immediate medical attention at the venue before being transported to a hospital, where she reportedly underwent multiple stitches for her injuries.
Meanwhile, the individual believed to be responsible for throwing the phone was captured in a separate video being escorted out of the premises by security personnel.
As of now, representatives for Bebe Rexha have not responded to requests for comment from Page Six.
