      • Mbombela (27°C)
      • Richards Bay (25°C)
      • Pretoria (31°C)
      • Johannesburg (29°C)
      • Vereeniging (30°C)
    • Central South Africa, notably:
      • Bloemfontein (28°C) and Kimberley (30°C)
      • Mahikeng (31°C) and Vryburg (31°C)
      • Upington (33°C)
    These fire danger warnings are indicative of atmospheric conditions conducive to the rapid spread of fires. Residents in these areas are urged to avoid any open flames or outdoor burning and to report fire outbreaks promptly.

Regional weather overview

  • Highveld and Central Plateau: Conditions remain dry and warm with high UV levels. Pretoria, Johannesburg, and Bloemfontein will experience highs close to or just above 30°C.
  • Northern Interior: Upington and Kimberley continue under sunny skies with maximum temperatures exceeding 30°C.
  • Coastal Belt:
    • Western Cape: Cape Town will see mild and partly cloudy conditions with highs around 23°C.
