Weather today: Fire danger warnings and fine skies for much of the country
While much of South Africa will enjoy clear skies and mild to warm temperatures, fire danger warnings have been issued for certain districts due to extremely high risk.
Winds will be fresh to strong in parts of the Western Cape and Eastern Cape. Temperatures are expected to remain above normal for most inland and coastal areas, consistent with seasonal outlooks for warmer winter conditions.

- Extremely High Fire Danger is expected in the following areas:
- Central Karoo District (Western Cape)
- Dr Beyers Naude, Blue Crane, and Raymond Mhlaba Local Municipalities (Eastern Cape)
- This warning indicates a very high risk of runaway fires due to dry and windy conditions. Residents are urged to avoid any open flames, report wildfires immediately, and take necessary precautions to protect life and property.
- Extremely High Fire Danger is expected in the following areas:
