  • Yellow level 4 warning: Severe thunderstorms with heavy downpours, large amounts of small hail, and damaging winds are expected along the escarpment and the Lowveld of Mpumalanga and Limpopo. These conditions may lead to flooding of roads and settlements, displacement of affected communities, and damage to both formal and informal structures.
  • Yellow level 2 warning: Disruptive rainfall is expected over the central and western parts of Limpopo, the escarpment of Mpumalanga, and the northern eastern parts of KwaZulu-Natal. This could cause localised flooding and damage to infrastructure, low-lying areas, and bridges.

  • Gauteng: Fog in places in the morning, otherwise cloudy and cool to warm with isolated showers and thundershowers, becoming scattered in the north.
  • Mpumalanga: Cloudy and cool to warm with widespread showers and thundershowers but scattered to isolated in the western Highveld.
  • Limpopo: Hot in the Limpopo Valley, otherwise cloudy and warm with widespread showers and thundershowers but scattered in the southwest.
  • North West: Morning fog in places, otherwise cloudy and warm to hot, with isolated showers and thundershowers in the east, becoming scattered in the extreme east.
  • Free State: Morning fog in places, otherwise partly cloudy and warm to hot, with isolated showers and thundershowers in the east, scattered in the extreme east.
  • Northern Cape: Cool along the coast, fine and warm to hot elsewhere, but partly cloudy in the extreme south and east. Coastal winds will be moderate to fresh southerly.
  • Western Cape: Cloudy along the coast, otherwise partly cloudy and warm, but cool in places along the coast. Fine conditions are expected in the north-west. Coastal winds will be fresh to strong south-westerly along the south coast.
  • Western Half of the Eastern Cape: Morning fog in places over the interior, otherwise cloudy and warm with isolated showers and thundershowers in the interior.
  • Eastern Half of the Eastern Cape: Cloudy and warm with isolated showers and thundershowers but scattered over the Wild Coast. Coastal winds will be moderate to fresh westerly to south-westerly.
  • KwaZulu-Natal: Morning fog in places in the interior, otherwise cloudy and warm but cool in the southwest with widespread to scattered showers and thundershowers, isolated in the southwest. Coastal winds will be moderate to fresh southerly to south-westerly.
