These storms could cause heavy downpours, strong winds, hail, and excessive lightning, resulting in localised flooding of susceptible roads, low-lying areas, and bridges, as well as localized damage to informal houses (roofs) over open areas and localized structural damage to homes and carports.
- Yellow Level 2 warning: Disruptive rainfall that could cause localised flooding is expected in places over the eastern half of the Eastern Cape. This could impact formal/informal settlements, low-lying roads and bridges, and cause short-term disruptions to municipal services.

- KwaZulu-Natal: Morning fog over the interior; otherwise partly cloudy and warm but hot in places in the north-east. Isolated to scattered showers and thundershowers are expected but widespread in the extreme south. The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh easterly to north-easterly.
