    • A. Yellow Level 4 warning: Disruptive rain leading to flooding of roads and settlements (formal and informal) as well as damage to property infrastructure, loss of livelihood, and livestock are expected over the Northern Cape except the extreme north-east and the south-western parts of the Free State.
    • B. Yellow Level 2 warning: Severe Thunderstorms leading to localised flooding of susceptible settlements, roads, low-lying areas, and isolated structural damage is expected over Central Karoo of the Western Cape as well as the extreme south-eastern parts of the Northern Cape.
    • C. Yellow Level 2 warning: Wind leading to difficulty in navigation at sea is expected between Table Bay and Cape Agulhas.
    • D. Yellow Level 3 warning: Disruptive Rain leading to flooding of roads, low-lying bridges, and formal/informal settlements is expected over the Overberg, southern Cape Winelands, and coastal areas of the Garden Route of the Western Cape on Saturday and Sunday.
  • Fire Danger Warnings: None reported.
  • Advisories:
    • A well-defined weather system (cut-off low-pressure) is expected to affect the Western Cape and Namakwa District of the Northern Cape until the 31st of December 2023. The public and small-stock farmers are advised that scattered to widespread showers and thundershowers, large amounts of small hail, and heavy rainfall which may result in localized flooding can be expected.

Gauteng: Cloudy in the morning, otherwise partly cloudy and cool to warm with isolated showers and thundershowers in the afternoon. The expected UVB sunburn index: Very High.

Mpumalanga: Morning fog patches along the escarpment, otherwise cloudy and cool but warm in places in the extreme north-east. Isolated showers and thundershowers can be expected from the afternoon.

Limpopo: Warm in places in the extreme north and west, otherwise cloudy and cool with isolated thundershowers except in the extreme north-west.

North-West Province: Partly cloudy and warm with scattered showers and thundershowers but isolated in the east.

Free State: Morning fog patches over the extreme east, otherwise partly cloudy and cool to warm with scattered showers and thundershowers but widespread over the south-western parts.

Northern Cape: Morning fog along the coast, becoming fine and cool in the afternoon, otherwise partly cloudy and warm to hot with isolated to scattered showers and thundershowers but widespread in the east. The wind along the coast will be light north-westerly becoming south-westerly in the afternoon.

Western Cape: Cloudy along the West Coast in the morning, becoming fine and warm, otherwise fine becoming partly cloudy and warm to hot with isolated showers and thundershowers over the eastern interior but scattered in the extreme east. The wind along the coast will be fresh to strong easterly to south-easterly but light to moderate north-westerly along the west coast. The expected UVB sunburn index: Extreme.

Western Half of the Eastern Cape: Partly cloudy and warm, becoming cloudy with isolated showers and thundershowers over the interior but scattered in the north. The wind along the coast will be fresh to strong easterly.

Eastern Half of the Eastern Cape: Fog and light drizzle in places south of the escarpment in the morning, otherwise cloudy and cool with scattered showers and thundershowers but isolated in the south. The wind along the coast will be fresh to strong north-easterly.

KwaZulu-Natal: Morning fog over the interior, otherwise cloudy and warm but cool in the south-west with isolated afternoon showers and thundershowers but scattered in the west. The wind along the coast will be moderate south-easterly north of Richards Bay, otherwise moderate easterly to north-easterly. The expected UVB sunburn index: Moderate.
