Fire danger warnings
Extremely high fire danger conditions are expected over the western and central interior of the Northern Cape, western parts of both the Free State and the North West Province, as well as Beaufort West and Laingsburg Municipalities in the Western Cape.
Heatwave advisory
Gauteng and the eastern parts of the North West will experience persistently high temperatures, constituting a heatwave until Friday.

Eastern Cape
Expect fine and hot to very hot conditions, with warmth along the western coastline, with moderate to fresh, south-westerly. In the eastern half of the province, the day will begin cloudy with fog patches south of the escarpment.
Conditions will then become fine and warm, becoming hot in some places. Coastal winds will be fresh and shift from north-easterly to south-westerly in the evening.
Free State
The Free State will be fine and hot to very hot, aligning with the fire danger warnings.
Gauteng
The forecast for Gauteng predicts partly cloudy weather in the morning. Otherwise, conditions will be fine and hot with an extreme UVB sunburn index.
KwaZulu-Natal
The province will have morning fog over the interior. The day will become fine and warm later, with moderate to fresh north-easterly winds along the coast.
Limpopo
Conditions will be partly cloudy in the east initially, then fine and hot, becoming very hot in the extreme southwest.
Mpumalanga
Weather will be partly cloudy with morning fog patches in the east. The remainder of the province will be fine and warm.
North West
Fine and hot to very hot weather is expected in this province.
Northern Cape
Extremely hot conditions will prevail in the northern part. Elsewhere, the weather will be fine, windy, and hot to very hot. Coastal winds will be moderate to fresh, southerly to south-easterly, becoming strong in the afternoon.
Western Cape
The morning will start cloudy to partly cloudy and cool along the coastal areas. The rest of the day will be mostly fine and warm to hot, accompanied by high-level clouds. Coastal winds will be moderate to fresh.
