  • Fire Danger Warnings: Extremely high fire danger conditions are forecasted for the Northern Cape northern interior, Western Cape, the western half of the Eastern Cape, and Mangaung Local Municipality in the Free State.
  • Heatwave Advisories: A persisting heatwave is expected to scorch through the interior of the Sarah Baartman, Joe Gqabi, and Chris Hani Districts, including Raymond Mhlaba, Amahlathi, Mhlontlo, Matatiele, Umzimvubu, and Ntabankulu Local Municipalities from Monday until at least Wednesday, 14 February 2024, as well as over the western parts of the Free State and North West until Thursday, 15 February 2024.

  • Gauteng: The day will be partly cloudy and warm, with isolated showers and thundershowers in the afternoon.
  • Mpumalanga: Expect morning fog patches along the escarpment, then partly cloudy and cool to warm weather, with isolated showers and thundershowers, excluding the Lowveld where it will be hot.
  • Limpopo: Similar to Mpumalanga, morning fog patches will give way to partly cloudy and warm to hot conditions.
  • North-West Province: It will be fine in central and western parts initially, then partly cloudy and hot to very hot, with isolated showers and thundershowers except in the extreme north.
  • Free State: Morning fog patches in the east, then fine and warm to hot, becoming partly cloudy with isolated afternoon showers and thundershowers in central and eastern parts.
  • Northern Cape: A fine and very hot to extremely hot day, becoming partly cloudy over the interior with isolated afternoon showers and thundershowers in places in the north-east.
  • Western Cape: Morning fog patches along the south coast, then fine and warm to hot, but very hot to extremely hot over the interior. Partly cloudy over the Overberg region and in places over the interior of the West-coast district.
  • Eastern Cape: Fine and very hot to extremely hot in the western half, with morning fog patches in places over the interior. The eastern half will see cloudy conditions with fog patches in the morning south of the escarpment, becoming fine and warm to hot, with isolated thunderstorms in the north from the afternoon.
  • KwaZulu-Natal: Morning fog patches over the interior, then partly cloudy and warm to hot, with isolated afternoon showers and thundershowers in the west.
