The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) has released the official grant payment schedule for October 2025.
This update also brings news of an increase in grant amounts, as announced earlier in the year by Finance Minister Enoch Godongwana. Beneficiaries are encouraged to take note of the changes and ensure their payment methods are in order.
What are the SASSA and SRD grant payment dates for October 2025?
SASSA will pay out permanent social grants on the following dates:
- Older Persons Grant: Thursday, 2 October 2025
- Disability Grant: Friday, 3 October 2025
- Child Support Grant and all other grants: Monday, 6 October 2025
Beneficiaries of the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) Grant, which provides R370 per month to unemployed adults between 18 and 59 years of age with no other income or grants, will receive their payment between 20 and 30 October 2025.
Payments will be made through registered bank accounts, CashSend, and participating retail partners.
Beneficiaries are advised to use the collection method linked to their SASSA profile to avoid delays.
