Veteran US rapper Nelly found himself at the receiving end of mixed reactions when his steamy sextape surfaced on social media.

Not much research went into tracking down the source of the leak, since, after all, the Nelly sextape was posted on Instagram by the man himself.

The 15-second steamy snippet features an unknown woman passionately “singing into the mic”. Nelly’s face does not appear in the video clip, but he can be heard moaning raucously, as the woman bellows into his ‘pipe’.

Clearly, there was nothing disturbing about the 47-year-old holding his phone to the woman’s face and recording the steamy oral experience.

As soon as fans caught wind of the Instagram post, there was little else Nelly could do to prevent the sextape from going viral.

The Dilemma star deleted the post and in a statement to TMZ, he apologised “to the young lady and her family.”

“This is unwanted publicity for her/them. This was an old video that was private and never meant to go public,” he said.

While Nelly has not outrightly chalked the release of the sextape to a ‘hack’, his representatives have hinted at the fact that his personal information may be at risk of being leaked.
