Renowned celebrity chef Lesego Semenya has passed away, according to reports.

In a tweet posted on Monday, a user asked fans of the chef to keep his family and friends in prayer as “we have lost a huge part of our heart.”
“We will never be whole again. R.I.P Lesego,” the tweet read.

At this time, a statement confirming the death of Semenya has yet to come from his family.
The chef has, in the past week, been candid about his fight with COVID-19. From what we understand, the celebrity chef was diagnosed with the highly transmissible and lethal pathogen on Sunday 4 July 2021 and had seemed in high spirits five days into his recovery.
“I’m OK, loads of medication and keeping positive,” he’d tweeted.
