Ari Lennox sent shockwaves across social media when she took to Twitter to confirm she was arrested in Amsterdam, on Monday.

In a series of tweets, the R&B star revealed that she was being held by customs at an Amsterdam airport against her will. In the first tweet, Lennox wrote:

The 30-year-old songstress went on to claim that she was being arrested “for reacting to a woman racially profiling me.”

It’s believed the Dreamville signee was still in police custody at the time this article was published. Moreover, in a statement posted by Reuters, Dutch military police, who are in charge of security at the international airport, confirmed that Lennox was being held for disturbing public order, public intoxication and more seriously, being aggressive towards an airline official.
“Our unit found a woman full of emotions that wouldn’t calm down. That’s why she had to be taken into custody,” the police noted.
Of particular concern to Dutch police is the claim that the Unloyal singer made threats towards the airline official. The matter is still under investigation.
