The 2021 SAMA Awards were a night where Amapiano’s dominance was given a stamp of approval by industry bigwigs.

The ceremony, hosted by actors Bontle Modiselle Moloi and Lawrence Maleka, was capped by career highlights for Kabza De Small and DJ Maphorisa who collectively walked away with seven honours.

Master KG also received his recognition for the global hit Jerusalema with SAMRO’s Highest Airplay award, and Blaq Diamond became the first-ever duo or group to bag the coveted Artist of the Year award.
