Disney+ is welcoming spring with an October slate full of chills, culture, and first-time live sports streaming in South Africa.
What to expect from Disney+ in October 2025
Just in time for Halloween, the platform brings a wide range of spooky content including the new animated series Vampirina: Teenage Vampire launching 15 October, and Marvel Zombies, already available to stream.
Horror fans can also dive into cult classics like The Omen, Edward Scissorhands, and American Horror Story.
For younger viewers, there’s Marvel’s Spidey and Iron Man: Avengers Team Up on 17 October and the return of Superkittiesand Wizards Beyond the Waverly Place earlier in the month.
On the drama front, Grey’s Anatomy returns for its 22nd season on 10 October, alongside Would You Marry Me. The Simpsons is also back for its 37th season, launching on 13 October.
In a major addition, Disney+ now includes access to ESPN linear channels at no extra cost. Sports fans in South Africa can now stream live NBA games starting 22 October, along with NFL coverage, the MLB World Series, and matches from top global football leagues.
