Cassper Nyovest has taken a break from tossing your favourite celebs on FIFA 20 to bless us with a brand new single Amademoni.

This record is produced by Tweezy, who must still be recovering from what was an intense beat battle with Gemini Major.

The first sight of Drill in South Africa

Cassper Nyovest has been teasing Amademoni as his next big Hip-Hop hit since Doc Shebeleza. The production alone borrows a lot from the Drill sound, a subgenre of Hip-Hop born out of the slums of the United Kingdom (UK).

Even before he pronounces his return to the throne, Cassper Nyovest pays homage to Pop Smoke, a New York rapper who was on the cusp of ushering forth a new Drill wave before he got gunned down in Los Angeles two months ago.

Tweezy has already adapted to this new sound and who better to test it in South Africa than Nyovest’s working Hip-Hop hit formula.

Amademoni review: Is it hot or not?

Much like most of his singles catalogue, Nyovest approached Amademoni with the usual short, punchy and repetitive chorus on the pacey beat.

Not much is said in his verses either. He basically states his return to Hip-Hop with reminders that he still fills stadiums and he, in case you forgot, is rich.

What’s a Nyovest hit without a subliminal jab at his arch-nemesis, AKA? We’re not pot-stirrers but “I don’t do drugs, I do the numbers” sounds a bit like a swipe to Supermega. After all, Nyovest himself includes drugs in reference to the Touch My Blood star.

One could even go as far as believing that “I never postpone, I never blunder” is a shot at AKA’s failure to secure enough PR and support around his _Fees for All charity concert.

Or, we could just be overthinking it all.
