Eskom published the weekend loadshedding schedule starting on Friday, which forecasts no outages.

On Thursday, Eskom extended the temporary suspension of loadshedding to Sunday “due to sufficient generation capacity including emergency reserves, expected units to be returned to service as well as anticipated lower demand into the weekend.”
The power utility confirmed that loadshedding a power system update will be published this weekend, with an outlook of the week ahead.

Update on breakdowns and available capacity
The last state of the power system update was on Sunday, 22 October 2023. At the time, Eskom reported more than 13 559MW of generation capacity lost to breakdowns, with an additional 4 765MW offline due to several units placed out of commission for planned maintenance.
