Weekend loadshedding schedule starting Friday, 15 March 2024

On Tuesday, Eskom ramped up blackouts with an increased pattern of outages earmarked for the rest of the week.

In a statement, the power utility confirmed loadshedding would rise to Stage 3 at 16:00 on Tuesday, 12 March 2024, and, thereafter, resume at a pattern of Stage 2 during the daytime (05:00 – 16:00) and Stage 3 in the evenings (16:00 – 05:00) “until further notice.”

Therefore, barring any unexpected changes necessitated by unplanned breakdowns at Megawatt Park’s ailing generation fleet, loadshedding should be sustained at a rotation of Stage 2 and Stage 3 this weekend.
