Weekend loadshedding schedule starting Friday, 13 October 2023
Since Sunday, 8 October 2023, Eskom has resumed with a pattern of no daytime outages and Stage 2 loadshedding in the evenings, “owing to improved generation performance.”
On Friday, this pattern will likely continue into the weekend.

Update on breakdowns and available capacity
The last state of the power system update was on Friday, 13 October 2023. At the time, Eskom reported more than 13 384MW of generation capacity lost to breakdowns, with an additional 6 510MW offline due to several units placed out of commission for planned maintenance.
