Unveiling the LVRR-01 watch: A masterpiece of time

Louis Vuitton has partnered with the esteemed independent watchmaker Atelier Akrivia to launch the LVRR-01 Chronographe à Sonnerie, a sophisticated timepiece that stands at the pinnacle of luxury and craftsmanship.

This innovative chronograph, featuring a chiming complication, is the result of a fresh tourbillon movement, meticulously developed from scratch by the experts at Atelier Akrivia.

The watch is encased in a redesigned Louis Vuitton Tambour case, with a sapphire dial that seamlessly merges the iconic “LV” Monogram with “AKRIVIA,” exemplifying the harmonious partnership between the two luxury houses.

The platinum case, fashioned in the signature drum shape of the Tambour watch, showcases a new slimline form, a product of Atelier Akrivia’s precise design, brought to life by the masterful hands of Jean-Pierre Hagmann.

Reflecting the shared heritage of excellence and innovation, the LVRR-01 watch is a testament to both Louis Vuitton’s and Atelier Akrivia’s dedication to redefining the art of timekeeping.

The manual winding LVRR-01 calibre consists of 391 components, including 55 just for the tourbillon, ensuring a 72-hour power reserve and operating at 21,600 vibrations per hour with 41 jewels.

The piece’s front dial features a smoked translucent sapphire crystal with six gold cubes filled with translucent Plique-à-jour fired enamel, while the chronograph dial showcases traditional Grand Feu enamel on a palladium-gold base, complete with dual scales for hours and minutes.

The strap is made from natural calfskin leather, complemented by a platinum ardillon buckle, and the timepiece is presented in a high watchmaking trunk adorned with hand-painted Monogram canvas.

This timepiece is not only a functional marvel but also a collector’s dream, with only ten pieces available, each at the price of CHF 450,000 (est. R9.28 million), making it a rare treasure in the world of high-end watches.
