This extends the period of uninterrupted power supply to 194 consecutive days since 26 March 2024.

What is the current state of the power system?

Eskom’s power system remains stable and has shown improvements. Over the past week, the Energy Availability Factor (EAF) averaged 61%, with top-performing power stations such as Kusile, Majuba, and Camden maintaining an EAF above 70%.

Eskom also reported unplanned outages averaging 11,181MW, which is a significant reduction compared to the same period last year.
