Eskom has published an outlook of the loadshedding schedule starting Monday, 25 December 2023.

On Friday, 22 December 2023, Eskom extended the suspension of outages for a second week, citing “consistent improvement in available generating capacity, lower demand, as well as sufficient emergency reserves.”

Therefore, as it stands, the loadshedding schedule will be halted on Monday, until at least Friday, 29 December 2023.

“Eskom will communicate should any significant changes occur,” the power utility confirmed.

Here’s a snapshot of Eskom’s energy availability, captured on Wednesday, 20 December 2023.

As of Sunday, 17 December 2023, breakdowns amounted to:

  • 12 648MW – down 490MW from Sunday, 10 December 2023
  • 8 728MW – up 1 409MW from Sunday, 10 December 2023
