Eskom has published an outlook of the loadshedding schedule starting Monday, 18 September 2023.
UPDATE 8: On Friday, 22 September 2023, Eskom confirmed loadshedding will be suspended for the long weekend, “due to the sustained improved performance of generation capacity as well as anticipated lower demand.” See the updated loadshedding schedule below.
UPDATE 7: On Friday, 22 September 2023, Eskom confirmed loadshedding will be suspended between 10:00 and 16:00. See the updated loadshedding schedule below.
UPDATE 6: On Thursday, 21 September 2023, Eskom confirmed Stage 1 loadshedding will be in place between 05:00 and 16:00 on Friday “due to the anticipated planned maintenance to address minor generation defects.” See the updated loadshedding schedule below.
UPDATE 5: On Thursday, 21 September 2023, Eskom suspended loadshedding between 02:30 and 15:00 “due to improved generation capacity, and reduced level of breakdowns, currently at 13 501MW of generation capacity.” See the updated loadshedding schedule below.
UPDATE 4: On Wednesday, 20 September 2023, Eskom suspended loadshedding at midnight and confirmed rolling blackouts would be halted until 16:00. See the updated loadshedding schedule below.
UPDATE 3: On Tuesday, 19 September 2023, Eskom suspended loadshedding between 09:00 and 16:00 due to “the improved available generation capacity.” See the updated loadshedding schedule below.
UPDATE 2: On Monday, 18 September 2023, Eskom confirmed Stage 3 loadshedding will be suspended between midnight and 05:00, “owing to the further improvement in available generation capacity.” See the updated loadshedding schedule below.
UPDATE: On Monday, 18 September 2023, Eskom confirmed loadshedding will drop to Stage 1 between 12:00 and 16:00 “due to improved generation capacity.” See the updated loadshedding schedule below.
Here’s the loadshedding schedule starting Monday, 18 September 2023
On Sunday, 17 September 2023, Eskom confirmed loadshedding will be downgraded to Stage 2 from 16:00 until 16:00 on Monday, 18 September 2023 “due to further improvement in generation capacity.”
Thereafter, rotational outages are expected to follow a pattern of Stage 2 during the daytime and Stage 4 in the evenings.
“Eskom will publish another update should any significant changes occur.,” the utility noted.
