Nicki Minaj new album now has a release date

The rapper, who has been absent from X (formerly Twitter) since 21 August 2025, broke her silence today with a cryptic post.

The message included just one detail: 27 March 2026, accompanied by a disc emoji.

This untitled album will be Minaj’s sixth studio project, following Pink Friday 2, which came out in December 2023.

That album debuted at number one on the US Billboard 200 chart and featured collaborations with artists such as Drake, J. Cole, and Lil Wayne.

Fans immediately began speculating whether the new album will address Minaj’s ongoing feud with Cardi B.

The tension between the two rappers stretches back to the late 2010s, when disputes over career competition and subliminal disses in music escalated into a physical confrontation at a 2018 New York Fashion Week party.

Since then, both artists have traded indirect shots online and through lyrics.

Cardi B’s jab reignites feud

Speculation around Minaj’s next album release intensified after Cardi B appeared to take a swipe at her on the intro of her second album, Am I The Drama?. On the track Dead featuring Summer Walker, Cardi rapped:

“Guess who drop a thousand times and none of it’s working? Guess who doing shows for damn near free and pockets hurting?”

Fans linked these lyrics to Nicki Minaj’s Pink Friday 2 World Tour.

The reference gained traction after Cardi’s friend, KenBarbie, alleged that Minaj had financial struggles tied to the tour.

This is the latest chapter in the long-running rivalry between the two artists, which has involved their supporters, social media associates, and even their families.

While Minaj has not revealed the album’s title, tracklist, or collaborators, the simple announcement has already generated excitement.

For now, all that is confirmed is the date: 27 March 2026. Whether Minaj uses the album to respond directly to Cardi B or continues with her own narrative remains to be seen.
