Cardi B has erupted in anger after finding out that her estranged husband Offset is asking for spousal support as part of their ongoing divorce proceedings.

What Cardi B said in her rant

The 31-year-old rapper expressed her outrage during a live session on X Spaces on Friday, 30 May 2025, lashing out at Offset in an emotional and expletive-filled rant.

“You a b—h. N—a, you a f—ing b—h,” Cardi said, clearly shocked by Offset’s legal move.

“Cus now I’ma crash out and I don’t give a f–k.”

Offset, real name Kiari Cephus, recently filed an updated answer to Cardi’s divorce petition in a New Jersey court.

The updated documents now include a request for spousal support—money paid by one spouse to another after separation or divorce.

While the exact amount Offset is asking for has not been made public, this move sparked fury from Cardi, who says she’s not the one making unreasonable demands.

Offset reportedly justified his request by claiming Cardi was “asking for everything” and not allowing him to see their children.

Cardi fired back, saying Offset has seen their four-month-old daughter Blossom only a few times, and that he stood up their kids on multiple occasions. She insisted that she has not kept him from seeing the children.

“He has seen Blossom only like five times,” Cardi said.

“And I’ve been trying to save your face … Stop playing.”

Cardi also stated that she changed her original divorce petition to remove her request for child support because she wants to end the marriage without further conflict.

Despite that, she claims Offset is now trying to paint her as the villain.

Why is Offset filing for spousal support?

The divorce, which was filed by Cardi in August, seeks primary custody of their two children: fiveyear-old daughter Kulture and two-year-old son Wave.

This is not the first time Cardi has filed for divorce from Offset. She previously filed in 2020, but withdrew the case after a brief reconciliation.

Their split, initially described as amicable by Cardi’s representatives, has since become public and bitter. In past online exchanges, both artists have thrown accusations at each other.

Most recently, Cardi made it clear that she considers Offset’s spousal support request as a betrayal.

Offset’s court filing also requests joint custody, but he wants Cardi’s home to be the primary residence for the children. Meanwhile, Cardi insists the only thing she wanted was a clean break.
