Global rap star Gunna is officially heading back to South Africa as part of his “Wun World Tour”, which includes two major stops in Cape Town and Johannesburg this coming January 2026.
According to LAMag Africa and Azat TV, Gunna will headline the Milk & Cookies Festival, a popular summer music event that celebrates international and local talent.
His appearances will take place on Saturday, 3 January 2026, at the Kenilworth Racecourse in Cape Town and again on Saturday, 10 January 2026, at the Nasrec Expo Centre in Johannesburg.
The Milk & Cookies Festival forms part of a larger cultural celebration known as Milk + Cookies Music Week, which runs from 24 December 2025 to 14 January 2026.
The event aims to promote music, creativity, and cultural exchange, making it one of the most anticipated entertainment highlights on South Africa’s summer calendar.
Tickets for both shows go on sale on Friday, 10 October 2025, at 08:30 (SAST) via Howler, with an age restriction of 18 and over.
Supporting acts include Vigro Deep for the Cape Town show and DJ Kent for the Johannesburg performance.
The South African leg of Gunna’s tour is part of his first-ever global headlining arena tour, which kicked off on 17 November 2025 in Boston, United States.
The tour is in support of his latest album, “The Last Wun,” which debuted at number three on the Billboard 200 charts and features collaborations with major international artists including Wizkid, Offset, Burna Boy, Nechie, and Asake.
After touring across North America in late 2025, Gunna will head to Africa for his first official performances on the continent, starting with South Africa before moving on to other international stops, including Sydney, Melbourne, Paris, Berlin, and London, with the tour wrapping up at Afro Nation in Portugal in July 2026.
The Wun World Tour represents Gunna’s global comeback after years of legal and industry challenges.
Following his high-profile involvement in the YSL RICO case and his release in 2023, Gunna re-emerged as one of the most streamed hip-hop artists in the world, releasing two successful albums — “A Gift & A Curse” (2023) and “One of Wun” (2024).
