Four children from Nirvana, Polokwane, aged between four and 15, are still missing a day after they were abducted in broad daylight.

The Nirvana Four: Who are the abducted children?

New information has surfaced on the identities of the victims kidnapped on their way to school at Church Street, near the R71 onramp, on Wednesday morning.

Swisher Post News previously reported that at least four armed men were involved in the abduction but recent updates confirm that, in fact, were seven masked assailants dressed in all-white.

Moreover, the driver whose task was to deliver the children to school was, fortunately, left unharmed. It is still unclear, at this stage, whereabout in the search he was found. His identity remains unknown at this stage.

Polokwane police have since released images of The Nirvana Four, whose names are:

  • Zidan Moti (six years old);
  • Zayyad (aged 11);
  • Alaan (13 years old); and
  • Zia

What we know about the kidnappers

Polokwane authorities are in a race against time to follow leads and trace the whereabouts of the Moti children. Pertinent to their investigation is the witness accounts of the driver.

He was one of the last people to see the children and would have crucial information on the descriptions of the seven assailants. At this time, police, from what we understand, are still in search for a silver/grey Toyota Fortuner with unknown registration plates.

At the time this article was published, lead investigators in the abduction case had not released a statement on the current progress of the search but we know that the kidnappers have yet to make contact with the Moti family.

This is a developing story.
