Kay Jewelers in The Glen shopping mall was recently targeted in a brazen robbery executed by six suspects.

The robbery unfolded rapidly as the suspects, caught on camera, broke into Kay Jewelers.
They shattered the glass displays and grabbed valuable gems before fleeing the scene.
Eyewitnesses, sheltered near a Dior aisle stand, filmed the incident as a mall security guard hesitated between intervening and seeking safety.
After the heist, the suspects were seen escaping in a black Mercedes Benz C200. The quick and organised getaway allowed them to evade immediate capture, leaving mall security and law enforcement to respond to the chaotic scene.
The Glen mall’s history of robbery incidents
This is not the first instance of criminal activity at The Glen shopping mall.
In November 2021, a group attempted to rob a Telkom store within the mall. The situation escalated until mall security and an armed Uber driver intervened, resulting in three suspects being apprehended and one escaping with injuries.
Additionally, in January 2020, four men were arrested following a robbery at a sports goods store in the mall, after a police chase ended with their vehicle crashing.
