Midrand woman due in court for murder
Police confirmed that Ntsanwisi, an employee of the Greater Giyani Municipality, was found lying on the kitchen floor of Colnbrook Estate in Noordwyk, Midrand, with a fatal stab wound to the upper chest near the neck.
A knife with a yellow handle was discovered next to his body.
“Police received a complaint of stabbing in Midrand. On arrival, police found a man with a stab wound on the upper body. Preliminary investigation led to the arrest of a woman who was reported to be the girlfriend of the deceased,” SAPS spokesperson Sergeant Mavela Masondo said.
Ntsanwisi was declared dead on the scene by paramedics.
The 22-year-old suspect was arrested and is scheduled to appear in the Alexandra Magistrates’ Court on Thursday.
Bizarre video surfaces showing woman detail motive behind alleged murder
Just hours after the stabbing, videos surfaced online allegedly showing the suspect talking about her state of mind.
In one clip, she appears to explain her frustration after returning home to find her boyfriend preparing to go out with friends. She says:
“After I came back home, and then I found my boyfriend with his friends chilling. They were about to go out, even now, I am on my own and it is currently 00:51. Baby if you see this…”
At that point, she makes a throat-slitting gesture with her hand.
The video spread widely on social media, drawing strong reactions from users who questioned why a woman would record such a message only hours before the alleged murder.
Leaked voice recordings capture Xichavo Ntsanwisi’s last moments alive
In addition to the video, leaked audio recordings of the couple’s altercation have also been shared online. In the clip, a heated argument can be heard, followed by a scuffle, just moments before Ntsanwisi was stabbed.
Police confirmed that investigations are ongoing and urged the public to allow the court process to take its course.
While the suspect’s name has already been circulated in the public domain, media outlets cannot officially publish it until her first court appearance.
Friends and relatives of Ntsanwisi described him as a dedicated public servant from Mhinga village outside Malamulele.
Many expressed shock, especially since the couple was reportedly seen enjoying themselves at the DStv Delicious Festival a day before the tragedy.
As the case heads to court, both the leaked video and the recordings are expected to form part of the evidence considered in the murder trial.
