The LAPD has shared new, chilling details about the death of Celeste Rivas, the 15-year-old whose dismembered body was found inside musician D4vd’s abandoned Tesla.

According to Captain Scot M Williams, the car had been parked for several weeks before it was towed, leading police to believe Celeste had been dead for weeks before her body was discovered on 8 September 2025.
Police have not yet determined the official cause of death, as the Los Angeles medical examiner continues its work. Captain Williams explained that investigators are still considering whether anyone besides those who hid her body could face criminal charges.
This tragic discovery came after neighbours reported a foul odour coming from the vehicle. When police searched the Tesla, they uncovered Celeste’s remains in the trunk.
The investigation has also revealed troubling links between Celeste and D4vd.
Her mother told TMZ that Celeste had been dating someone named David, which later connected back to the musician. Online footage from TMZ also shows one of the last times Celeste was seen alive in 2024, after previously running away from home.
Another strange twist came on 26 September 2025, when a neighbour found a Tesla key card in a gutter near D4vd’s Hollywood Hills home.
Photos of the card posted online sparked debate about whether the finder, who admitted picking it up with bare hands, might have damaged possible fingerprint evidence.
Police later reassured the neighbour that their actions had not compromised the case.

So far, no arrests have been made. D4vd has cooperated with police and suspended his tour dates while the investigation continues.
