Howard Galvin, also known by multiple aliases including Howard Green, Howard Gelman, “The Cleaner,” and “The Fixer,” is set to appear at the Randburg Magistrates Court on Tuesday, 4 March 2025.

Howard Galvin expected to make his first court appearance in Randburg

The man, whose reputation has been compared to that of fictional crime fixers, remains in custody following a series of allegations involving intimidation, extortion, and illegal evictions.

Galvin, long suspected of operating as an underground enforcer, has been the subject of several high-profile investigations.

His name has surfaced in multiple criminal complaints, with videos and recordings of his alleged activities circulating online in recent years.

One of the most damning pieces of evidence against Galvin emerged in November 2024 when an online vigilante group released a recorded conversation in which he allegedly threatened to kill a woman named Samantha.

In the recording, he is heard arguing with a “client” about work involving a woman named Lucy.

Months before that, in September 2024, the same online group shared footage of Galvin leading a group of men in an attempt to intimidate and assault staff at the offices of the IRS (Independent Resource Services).

The IRS had reportedly been hired to investigate him, and the video purportedly shows Galvin trying to shut down the investigation by using brute force.

Additionally, a widely shared 2021 video shows Galvin illegally evicting a family from their home in Pecanwood Estate, Hartbeespoort. Reports allege that he used a forged eviction order to force the family out.

In the footage, he can be heard instructing one of his men to “detain” the homeowner and confiscate his phone. The incident resulted in a legal battle, with the family later obtaining a court order to reclaim their home.

Galvin’s legal troubles have intensified in recent months, with more alleged victims stepping forward.

Authorities are currently investigating claims of assault, intimidation, extortion, and fraud, with additional charges potentially being added.

His court appearance in Randburg on Tuesday is expected to provide more clarity on the charges he faces.

Law enforcement officials have not yet confirmed whether further arrests are expected in connection with his activities, but the case has drawn significant public attention.

For now, Galvin remains in custody as authorities continue their investigation into the full extent of his alleged operations.
