On Tuesday, a farmer in Canelands, KwaZulu-Natal, contacted private security firm Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) to report a disturbing discovery.
He had seen a pair of legs protruding from a blanket on his farm.
Reaction officers quickly arrived at the scene and shared the details and description of the body for circulation.
The brightly coloured hair and clothing described by the officers matched the description of Inam Tshakeni, a trainee pilot who had been reported missing at Sydenham SAPS last week.
Upon hearing the description, Tshakeni’s family visited the RUSA headquarters and the investigating officer to identify the body.
The family confirmed that the body was indeed that of Inam Tshakeni, a 20-year-old resident of the Eastern Cape.
