Remarkably, both occupants of the small plane escaped without injuries. The incident prompted an immediate response from the local fire department and other emergency services.
Stuart Grobbelaar, head of communications in the Stellenbosch municipality, confirmed to News24 that the fire department visited the scene to provide support.
“There were two people in the small plane, and both are okay. No injuries or serious damage was reported,” he said.
As of now, no definitive cause has been identified, and further details are expected to emerge as the investigation progresses.
