On 23 June 2024, an indecent assault took place at a Dollar Tree store located at 56 E. Snyder Ave in Philadelphia.
The suspect, now identified as Gary A. Miles, was caught on camera assaulting a female victim.
The video of the incident went viral on social media, showing the harrowing end of the assault.
Witnesses and store employees reported that Miles frequently visited the Snyder Plaza and the nearby I-95 underpass, where he was often seen parking his vehicle.
In the footage, Miles was wearing a T-shirt with the slogan, “It’s not going to lick itself,” making him easily identifiable.

The viral video of the Dollar Tree assault caught the attention of Philly native and rapper Meek Mill.
Moved by the incident, Meek Mill took to Twitter to offer a $2,000 reward for information leading to the suspect’s arrest.
“Just go live with him don’t pursue him…it gotta actually be you…Philly small people know where this creep ass dude at ghtfoh…we need community protection also!” Meek Mill tweeted, encouraging the community to help identify and locate Miles.
Following the reward offer and the viral spread of the video, Gary Miles voluntarily surrendered to Philadelphia police on Wednesday evening.
The Philadelphia Police Department (PPD) released a statement expressing their gratitude to the public for their assistance in locating Miles.
“The PPD extends its gratitude to the public for their assistance in locating Mr. Miles,” the statement read.
