22-year-old adventurer and renowned YouTuber Josh Neuman was part of a group of travellers who lost their lives in a tragic plane crash in Iceland, last week.

News of the famous bloggers death was confirmed by his family who, in a statement, celebrated the 22-year-old’s positive outlook on life.
“The entire world mourns with us as we are devastated and heartbroken to announce that our son and Daniel’s brother, Josh Neuman, has suddenly left us. Josh represents the side of humanity we all strive to achieve. The way he not just touched, but impacted lives was on a scale of its own,” the statement read.
Neuman and three other passengers, including 32-year-old Belgian influencer Nicola Bellavia, were onboard a Cessna C172 private aircraft, making their way from Reykjavik, Iceland, when disaster struck.
The incident occurred on Thursday 3 February 2022 but the adventurers’ bodies were discovered three days later near the Thingvellir national park
“As the world sheds a tear, we should know that he passed doing what he loved, having just experienced the Northern Lights in Iceland for the first time and commenting, ‘this is the happiest day of my life’,” the family wrote.
According to AFP, it took more than 30 hours to track down the location of the plane and more than 1 000 people were involved in the search effort, Iceland’s largest rescue mission in five years.
To honour his life, Neuman’s family will launch a charitable foundation “that will continue to forever support his dream to make a meaningful difference in this world that we live in.”
“It is through God’s grace that we will all be with Josh again someday,” the statement concluded.
