In a bizarre twist that sounds more like a buddy-cop movie plot, two Cape Town constables are in court for allegedly lending a police vehicle to a friend, blurring the line between public service and personal favours.
In the video footage, two police officers are seen outside the police van, and a man later identified as Milosh Basson of Kensington is handcuffed to the back of the van.
The police officers also face three countrs of attempted murder and defeating the ends of justice.
Mthokozisi Ntumba died at the hands of SA police and his killers are still roaming the streets.
