A Johannesburg-based stripper known only by her stage name, Sativa, left social media divided when, on a recent episode of the MacG-produced City Girls podcast, she revealed how much she made per night, pole-dancing at Summit Nightclub.
Sativa talks about stripper money from Summit Nightclub
On the episode, podcast host and influencer Tebogo Thobejane sat down with x-rated model Sativa, and pornstar ‘Dark Berry’ to talk about the thriving sex industry which, for now, is still very much taboo in South Africa.
Sativa, however, stood out in the dialogue when she recalled her experience working at Summit, a strip club nestled in the heart of Johannesburg CBD.
Before she took the decision to try out stripping, Sativa claimed she wanted to pursue a tertiary course in graphic design, her true passion.
In December 2019, after letting up to pressure from her friends to take up pole-dancing classes, Sativa found an opportunity to work at Summit. As an amateur, she started off as a table dancer, then quickly rose up the pole, where she reportedly made an average of R15 000 a night, on Fridays and Saturdays.
Sativa claimed her exotic nature, as the daughter of a Venezuelan father, drew attention from men who were supposedly eager to open their wallets for her.
On one occasion, Sativa recalled how a private client booked her for an intimate kickback with friends at Sandton Skye. She was adamant that she never traded sexual intercourse for cash, but claims she twerked for an hour and walked away with more than R25 000 stashed in a Hennessy box.
Here is the episode where Sativa and Dark Berry talk candidly about their lives working in the sex industry.
