The glaring lights of stardom have been too much to deal with for Lasizwe Dambuza who recently checked himself into a mental health facility after a prolonged battled with depression.
Lasizwe fights depression by checking into mental health facility
The 22-year-old, who rose to fame with viral funny videos, took to social media to reveal that, for months, he has been living with depression.
While on the surface, the reality TV star appeared as happy and content about his high-sailing life as can be, internally, he was crumbling.
“One thing about me, I am not shy to express how I feel. I have checked myself into a Mental Health Wellness Facility. I haven’t been okay for the past months. I have been so depressed. I have decided to fight this by taking a break and dealing with this one-on-one,” he wrote.

While it’s unclear how long Lasizwe will remain at the wellness facility, his management confirmed in a statement that all social media activity and business enquiries will be administered by his handlers.
“Due to Lasizwe being off the socials, his page and posts will be managed by his team during this period because of contractual obligations that have to be adhered to. Kindly keep him in your prayers during this tough time,” the statement read.
