  • Fire Danger Warnings: Extremely high fire danger conditions are expected over:
    • Eastern parts of Northern Cape.
    • Western parts of both the Free State and North-West Province.
    • Northern parts of Eastern Cape.
    • Beaufort West Municipality in the Western Cape.

On Wednesday, Cape Town will experience overcast conditions throughout the day. Morning temperatures will start at around 14°C, rising to a mild 17°C in the afternoon, with gentle breezes from the west-southwest at about 17 km/h. The evening will remain cool and overcast, with temperatures dropping to around 13°C.

Durban

Durban will experience mostly cloudy conditions with temperatures ranging from a mild 19°C in the morning to a warm 28°C in the afternoon. Winds will be moderate, blowing from the northeast at about 35 km/h. The evening will clear up slightly, with temperatures cooling down to around 21°C​.

Johannesburg

Johannesburg will experience a sunny day with clear skies. The temperature will range from a cool 12°C in the morning to a warm 26°C in the afternoon. Winds will be gentle, blowing from the north at approximately 16 km/h.

  • Mpumalanga: Partly cloudy in the east with morning fog over the escarpment and northern Highveld, otherwise fine and cool to warm.

  • Eastern Half of the Eastern Cape: Fine and warm but hot over the interior. It will become cloudy south of the escarpment from late afternoon, with light evening rain along the coast.
  • KwaZulu-Natal: Fine and warm to hot. The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh northerly to north-easterly, becoming strong in the afternoon.
