Amina’s sleepwalking (“la sonnambula”) turns a small Alpine town upside down in one of opera’s most delicate love stories. This season’s new Met staging stars soprano Nadine Sierra, with Xabier Anduaga (Elvino), Sydney Mancasola (Lisa) and Alexander Vinogradov (Count Rodolfo); Riccardo Frizza conducts.

The Met’s Live in HD transmission for this production was scheduled for Saturday, 18 October at 13:00 ET (19:00 SAST), with local South African cinema dates aligning to distributors’ schedules this week.

In Bugonia, two conspiracy-obsessed cousins kidnap a powerful CEO, convinced she’s an alien out to destroy Earth—an absurd, pitch-black comedy from Yorgos Lanthimos. Cast: Emma Stone, Jesse Plemons, Aidan Delbis and Alicia Silverstone.  

Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc

G-DRAGON in Cinema [Übermensch] (Nu Metro exclusive – Wednesday, 29 Oct)

A concert-film capture of the kickoff show from G-DRAGON’s 2025 world tour, featuring anthems like “Crooked,” “Who You?” and “HEARTBREAKER,” plus special guest appearances.

Nu Metro lists South African screenings starting Wednesday, 29 October, with additional sessions into the weekend.
