Rapper and YouTuber DDG found out live, on camera, that his ex-girlfriend and the mother of his child, Halle Bailey, had obtained a domestic violence restraining order against him.

The moment happened during a livestream with fellow content creator Adin Ross, while they were shopping at a clothing store.
Clearly caught off guard, DDG appeared stunned as he read the headlines about the court’s decision.
“Bro, I am looking at the story now… Bro, that can’t even be real. I don’t even know where all of this came from,” he said during the stream.
As emotions rose, Ross quickly stepped in to redirect the livestream and defended his friend.
“Stop these fake allegations, this is a father. This is a real person, a good human being,” Ross said.
He urged the audience to show DDG respect and understanding, adding, “He does a lot for a lot of people… he’s a man, he’s a father.”
What we know about the restraining order
The restraining order was granted on Tuesday in a Los Angeles court after Bailey accused DDG of multiple incidents of abuse since January. According to documents filed by Bailey and reported by media, one of the most serious events allegedly occurred when DDG came to pick up their son, Halo.
Bailey says she tried to discuss visitation plans with him, but he became aggressive, yelling at her to get out of his car. She claims the situation escalated into physical violence—he allegedly pulled her hair, slammed her head into the steering wheel, and chipped her tooth.

Photos of Bailey’s injuries were included in her court filings. She also told the court she stayed in the car during the trip to DDG’s house because she was too afraid to leave her son alone with him.

Bailey said another incident happened in March, when DDG allegedly entered her home without permission and sent her a photo of her empty bed, suggesting she had been with another man. She said she felt violated and unsafe.
Things reportedly escalated again days later when Bailey said DDG became aggressive during another argument, smashed her Ring security camera, and took her phone.
As he drove away, she claims he threw the phone out the window and yelled, “GO GET IT BITCH.”
She later filed a police report, saying the final straw came during a Mother’s Day trip with her sister and baby Halo in St. Lucia. Bailey said DDG sent her links to online gossip that she was with singer Brent Faiyaz, which she denied, asking him to let her enjoy the holiday peacefully.
The court has now ordered DDG to stay at least 100 yards away from Bailey and barred him from discussing her or their child in livestreams or social media posts. Bailey was also given permission to take their son with her to Italy while she films a movie.
