Tyla crowned ‘World Artist of the Year’ at 2025 iHeart Awards

South African singer Tyla wins World Artist of the Year at the 2025 iHeartRadio Music Awards, marking a significant milestone in her career.

South African singer Tyla achieved a significant milestone by winning the World Artist of the Year award at the 2025 iHeartRadio Music Awards. The ceremony, hosted by LL Cool J, took place at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles on Monday, 17 March 2025.

Tyla takes home grand prize at 2025 iHeart Awards

Tyla, known for her viral hit Water, was nominated in three categories: World Artist of the Year, R&B Song of the Year, and Dance Song of the Year.

While she faced stiff competition in the latter two categories, with Muni Long’s Made for Me winning R&B Song of the Year and Charli XCX’s 360 securing Dance Song of the Year, Tyla’s global impact was recognised with the World Artist of the Year award.
