Tinfoil hatters tie Tory Lanez stabbing to Roc Nation

Tory Lanez was stabbed 14 times in prison, sparking online conspiracy theories linking the attack to Roc Nation.

Tory Lanez, the rapper serving a 10-year sentence for shooting Megan Thee Stallion, was stabbed multiple times on Monday, 12 May 2025, while in the yard of California Correctional Institution (CCI) in Tehachapi.

What’s the latest on the Tory Lanez stabbing?

The incident, confirmed by the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR), has triggered a wave of speculation and conspiracy theories online, particularly targeting Jay-Z’s Roc Nation label.

According to his team, Lanez sustained 14 stab wounds — seven in his back, four in his torso, two to the back of his head, and one on the left side of his face.

Both of his lungs collapsed, and he was placed on a breathing machine but is now breathing on his own.

“Despite being in pain, he is talking normally, in good spirits, and deeply thankful to God that he is pulling through,” his team said.

Prison officials reported that Lanez was attacked by another inmate just after 07:20 PST (16:20 SAST).

Medical staff responded quickly, and he was taken by ambulance to a hospital in Bakersfield for further treatment. No information has been released on the identity of the attacker or a possible motive.

Does this have anything to do with Roc Nation?

In the hours following the stabbing, social media platforms became flooded with unverified claims linking the attack to Roc Nation. This theory stems from long-standing conspiracy narratives alleging the label’s involvement in Tory’s conviction.

These claims suggest Roc Nation used its industry influence to sway legal outcomes and now, supposedly, orchestrated the prison attack.

One of the more vocal proponents of this theory is YouTuber and streamer SoLLUMINATI, who implied that Lanez’s assault was not a random act of prison violence but a targeted hit.

Tory’s father has also previously echoed claims of Roc Nation interference during his son’s trial, adding fuel to the theory’s momentum.

Roc Nation has not responded to these rumours.

Tory Lanez, born Daystar Peterson, was convicted in December 2022 of three felony charges: assault with a semiautomatic firearm, possession of a loaded unregistered firearm, and negligent discharge of a firearm.

Megan Thee Stallion, in her court testimony, said Lanez fired at her feet while shouting for her to dance after they left a party in Hollywood.

In January 2025, Megan obtained a restraining order against Lanez, accusing him of harassing her from prison through third parties. Lanez’s lawyer has denied these claims, arguing that his incarceration makes any threat to Megan impossible.

For now, Lanez remains under tight guard while recovering in hospital, with plans for his return to prison once medically cleared. Investigations into the stabbing are ongoing.
