Summer Walker is officially coming to South Africa.
Summer Walker set to perform in South Africa in 2025
The Rocking the Daisies (RTD) 2025 festival has announced the Grammy-nominated R&B singer as its first headliner, confirming her performance for October 2025.
The festival organisers shared the news on social media, writing:
“IT’S HAPPENING! Lover Girls/Boys, this is the moment! [SUMMER WALKER] is headlining Rocking the Daisies 2025. You’ve streamed the albums, cried to the lyrics, and now it’s time to experience it LIVE.”
Walker’s performance will be her debut in South Africa, bringing fans the chance to hear her soulful, emotionally charged music in person.
Known for hits like Girls Need Love, Playing Games, and No Love, the Atlanta-born artist has built a massive global following with her vulnerable songwriting and smooth vocal delivery.
Rocking the Daisies, which takes place annually in October, is celebrating its 20th anniversary in 2025. More headliners and supporting acts are expected to be announced in the coming months.
Summer Walker’s upcoming album: Finally Over It
While fans anticipate her South African performance, they are also eagerly awaiting Summer Walker’s next studio album, Finally Over It.
The project has been in the works for some time, with Walker providing teasing updates.
In a recent Instagram Story, she shared a video of herself enjoying dinner, spending time with family, and partying with her boyfriend, Rico Recklezz, captioning the clip, “Me doing everything except turning in my album.”
The album’s first single, Heart of a Woman, was released in October 2024, receiving praise for its introspective lyrics and signature R&B production. Critics noted its mix of raw emotion and confidence, which has become Walker’s trademark.
Walker’s previous albums, Over It (2019) and Still Over It (2021), were both massive successes.
Still Over It debuted at number one on the Billboard 200, broke multiple streaming records, and cemented her as one of the most influential voices in modern R&B.
With two Grammy nominations, multiple Billboard Music Awards, and over 32 million certified units sold, Walker has established herself as a dominant force in the music industry.
Fans can expect Finally Over It to continue her streak of deeply personal storytelling and chart-topping success. However, an official release date for the album has yet to be confirmed.
For now, South African fans can mark their calendars for October 2025, when Walker will take the RTD stage for what promises to be a standout performance.
More details about her set and additional festival lineup announcements will be revealed in the coming months.
